Welcoming Mac McGary to Augment as VP of Sales

Justin Hall
Co-Founder & CCO, Augment
Mac brings decades of experience helping enterprise logistics and supply chain organizations adopt new technology — especially during moments of industry change.
Logistics teams are under more pressure than ever. Volumes fluctuate. Expectations keep rising. And yet the work hasn’t gotten any easier — it’s still driven by emails, calls, spreadsheets, and people making fast decisions with incomplete information.
At Augment, we’re focused on applying AI where it actually helps: clearing repetitive work, giving operators leverage, and creating space for better decisions. As more customers lean into that shift, we’re excited to share our next step.
Mac McGary is joining Augment as our new VP of Sales.
Mac brings decades of experience helping enterprise logistics and supply chain organizations adopt new technology — especially during moments of industry change. He’s spent his career working with Fortune 500 shippers and global operators, building sales teams that serve complex, high-stakes environments without losing sight of the people doing the work.
Before Augment, Mac held senior leadership roles across some of the most respected names in supply chain technology, including Chief Sales Officer at Eylit Technologies, EVP of Global Sales at GT Nexus, and EVP / President at Logility and Sweetbridge. He’s helped companies scale through critical growth phases — including expanding GT Nexus into a global platform and supporting its acquisition by Infor — experience that translates directly to serving large, complex customers well.
For customers and prospects, Mac’s arrival means something simple but important: a sharper focus on helping teams get real value from Augment. His background brings a deep understanding of enterprise buying journeys, operational complexity, and what it takes to roll out technology operators actually want to use — not just tools that look good in a demo.
I was particularly struck by what Mac shared with me as we discussed the opportunity to join Augment:
“Logistics isn’t broken because of people — it’s broken because great operators are buried in busywork. That’s what drew me to Augment. AI’s role is to finally create leverage for operators, clearing away freight’s daily grind so teams can spend more time on judgment, relationships, and problem-solving — the work that actually moves logistics forward.”
It’s a point of view we share — and one that continues to guide what we build and how we bring it to customers.
Welcome to Augment, Mac 🚀
