Augment is SOC 2 Type II Attested

We recently received our SOC 2 Type II attestation report. It's a milestone we're proud of – and a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to in serving our customers.

What SOC 2 Type II actually means

SOC 2 Type I is where most companies start – it validates that your security controls are designed correctly. Type II goes further, confirming that those controls truly worked, consistently, over a sustained period. Ours covered six months. That's six months of auditors examining whether our access controls, incident response, vendor reviews, change management, and monitoring processes operated the way we said they did – not just on paper, but in practice.

For a company handling freight and logistics data on behalf of customers, that distinction matters. Our customers trust us with sensitive operational data, and SOC 2 Type II gives them independent verification that we're protecting it.

What we focused on

Building toward SOC 2 Type II meant taking a hard look at our security posture end to end: access provisioning and deprovisioning, incident response, third-party vendor management, infrastructure monitoring, and change management. Most of this work happened quietly and continuously, making sure our controls weren't just documented but lived in day-to-day operations.
