Augment Cookie Policy
Last updated: 08-17-2026
1. ABOUT THIS POLICY
This Cookie Policy explains how Augment Technologies Inc (doing business as “Augment,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at https://www.goaugment.com and any other website of ours that links to this policy (the “Site”). It also covers tracking pixels in our marketing emails.
Read this together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information generally and the rights available to you.
This policy addresses our public marketing website and marketing communications. Cookies used inside the Augment application at app.goaugment.com to deliver the product to authenticated users are addressed in our customer agreements and Data Processing Addendum. Where you use the Augment platform as an employee, contractor, or authorized user of one of our customers, that customer is generally the controller for the personal data you process in the platform, and you should direct requests about that data to them. Augment remains a controller for certain limited purposes of its own, such as platform security, service telemetry, and billing.
2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device, allowing the site to recognize your device on later visits, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used.
We also use, or permit third parties to use, technologies that work similarly:
Pixels and web beacons — small transparent images embedded in a web page or an email that record whether content was loaded, and can transmit information about your visit.
Local storage — data stored by your browser that persists between sessions.
SDKs and scripts — third-party code running on our pages that may set its own identifiers.
We use “cookies” below to refer to all of these. Cookies may be first-party (set on the goaugment.com domain) or third-party (set by another company whose service we use; third parties may recognize your device across other sites using the same service), and session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (retained for a set period or until deleted).
3. HOW WE CATEGORIZE COOKIES
These categories match those in our consent banner, so the choices you make there map to what is described here.
3.1 Strictly Necessary — Required for the Site to function — form delivery, bot and automated-abuse protection, server routing, accessibility tooling, and recording your consent choices. We do not offer a toggle to disable these, because the Site cannot operate without them. You can still block them through your browser, but parts of the Site will then not work. We set these without asking for consent, as permitted for cookies strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested.
3.2 Preferences — Remember choices you make so the Site behaves as you expect. On our Site this means remembering your playback position in an embedded video, so you can resume rather than start over.
3.3 Statistics — Help us understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate — pages viewed, how visitors arrive, which video content is watched, and where visitors encounter problems — so we can improve content and performance.
3.4 Marketing — Used to measure advertising effectiveness, understand which campaigns bring visitors to the Site, identify the organizations showing interest in Augment, and enable advertising partners to show Augment advertising on other websites and platforms. These involve building a profile of your interests across websites. We do not place Preferences, Statistics, or Marketing cookies on your device before you consent to them, where your consent is required by law.
4. COOKIES WE USE
Accurate as of the scan of 14 August 2026. Our consent banner also maintains an automatically updated per-cookie declaration, available in Cookie Settings.

Where a third party sets cookies through the Site, that third party’s own privacy notice governs how it uses the information collected, and we do not control those uses. Our agreements with these providers restrict them to processing data for the purposes we have specified.
6. YOUR CHOICES
6.1 Cookie consent banner
On your first visit you will be shown a cookie banner, where you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from using the Site, though embedded videos will not remember your playback position.
6.2 Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw consent at any time by selecting Cookie Settings on the Site. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.
6.3 Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings, and offer private browsing modes. These controls apply per browser and per device. Instructions are available from your browser provider. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may prevent parts of the Site from working.
6.4 US state privacy rights
If you reside in a US state with an applicable privacy law, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising.
The scan confirms this section is required, not optional. Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, X, and 6sense trackers are all present and used for cross-context behavioural advertising and account identification. Under CPRA that is “sharing,” whether or not money changes hands.
You may also submit a request directly, see “Contacting us” below.
6.5 Industry opt-out tools
Some advertising providers participate in industry opt-out programs. These are operated by third parties, not by Augment, and we cannot guarantee their availability or effectiveness:
7. LEGAL BASES FOR USING COOKIES
Two separate sets of rules apply to visitors in the EEA and UK. National ePrivacy rules implementing Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive govern storing or reading a cookie on your device. The GDPR and UK GDPR govern our subsequent processing of personal data obtained through it.
Storing and reading cookies. We store and read strictly necessary cookies without consent, relying on the exemption for storage strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested. For every other cookie we store or read, we rely on your prior consent.
Subsequent processing. Where Augment is a controller:
• For strictly necessary cookies, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• For all other cookies, we rely solely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not configure cookies on the Site to collect special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR), and we do not use cookies to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Switzerland. If you are in Switzerland, the revised Federal Act on Data Protection and the Telecommunications Act apply rather than the GDPR. We provide the transparency and choice described in this policy to Swiss visitors on the same basis.
8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Augment is headquartered in the United States. Providers whose cookies appear on the Site process data in the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
Where personal data collected through cookies is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on an appropriate safeguard for each recipient — depending on the provider, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the Swiss adaptations to the SCCs, or the recipient’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension or Swiss-US counterpart.
You may request details of the safeguard applying to a particular transfer by contacting us.
9. HOW LONG COOKIE DATA IS KEPT
The retention period for each cookie is shown in §4 and in Cookie Settings.
We separately keep a record of your consent choices, including the categories you accepted or rejected, when, and the version of the banner presented, for as long as necessary to demonstrate consent was properly obtained and to avoid re-prompting you unnecessarily.
10. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. These rights, and how to exercise them, are described in full in our Privacy Policy.
11. CHILDREN
The Site is directed to businesses and business professionals. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us at privacy@goaugment.com.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to our legal or operational requirements. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes to how we use non-essential cookies, we will seek your consent again through the cookie banner.
13. CONTACTING US
