We're thrilled to announce that Hirschbach Motor Lines, one of the nation's leading truckload carriers, has selected Augment as its AI partner to transform freight operations, following a successful pilot.
The partnership spans Hirschbach’s brokerage operations, over the road, dedicated fleet, and customer support teams, leveraging Augment’s AI teammate to improve load visibility for customers, reduce manual workload for operators, and give the business a faster, more scalable way to run its operations.
“When AI takes on more of the daily grind, our operators can focus more on the work that makes the biggest difference for our customers: the judgment calls, the relationships, the problems that don't have a clean answer," said Ivan Ramirez, Chief Technology Officer at Hirschbach. "We’ve partnered with Augment because they share that vision for AI, with a platform that can actually bring it to life in the real world of freight.”
Hirschbach’s AI rollout with Augment is initially focused on track and trace, the manual work of capturing driver check-in times at every stop on every load. Hirschbach manages thousands of loads per week, with operators previously spending significant time chasing confirmation of arrivals and check-ins. Augment's AI teammate, Augie, now handles that outreach automatically — reaching drivers via text when they arrive early, scheduling follow-up if they're still in line, and escalating to a call when there’s no response. Already, Augie is handling proactive outreach for more than 85% of Hirschbach’s Logistics Solutions loads and automating over 300 pickup and delivery check-ins each week.
Augment’s AI teammate operates across the full order-to-cash lifecycle. It understands the context of every shipment, proactively resolves issues, and acts across systems — email, phone, TMS, portals, and chat — to get work done. From quoting and dispatch to tracking, appointment scheduling, document collection, and billing, it is designed to reduce load touches, shorten cycle times, and free up operators for higher-value work.
"The best logistics companies are defined by how well they take care of their people and their customers, and those investing in AI right now are pulling ahead," said Harish Abbott, co-founder and CEO of Augment. "Hirschbach gets that. They see AI as an opportunity to serve their customers better, empower their operators, and build an operation that scales. We’re thrilled to be their partner on this journey.”
With the initial track and trace program delivering results, Hirschbach and Augment are moving quickly to expand the AI rollout to further increase productivity and unlock efficient growth. Plans for expansion include customer support, full track and trace coverage across the asset fleet, and appointment scheduling.
