There’s a Springfield in 34 states — meaning there’s a strong chance drivers may cross multiple on their journey. Without automated validation, ambiguous lookups like this can go unchecked and result in a truck appearing to teleport 1,800 miles across the country. Now, Augie cross-references every geocoded location against the driver's recent history and grounds Track & Trace with intelligent geocoding.
Why It Matters
Eliminate false location updates that erode broker trust
Sending no data is better than sending wrong data. Augie now withholds a location while it pressure tests accuracy, rather than writing a bad one.
How It Works
Augie narrows the geocoding search using the driver's last known position instead of the full route, so the correct location surfaces based on proximity.
After geocoding, Augie calculates actual driving distance from the last known position. If the implied speed exceeds 90 mph, the result is rejected automatically.
