Drivers can now text Augie back with photos, PDFs, or other documents—and Augie will act on them automatically. This unlocks a smoother experience for Track & Trace and Proof of Delivery (POD) workflows, especially when drivers reply with key documents instead of just text.
Why This Matters
When texting drivers for updates, we often get more than just a location—we get confirmation of delivery, photos of signed paperwork, or other relevant docs. Until now, those messages couldn’t trigger any workflow logic.
With this update, Augie can now ingest document attachments sent via SMS, classify them, and immediately route them into the right workflow—like completing a POD collection or updating a shipment status.
How It Works
If a driver responds to a tracking text with “I delivered—here’s the POD,” Augie will:
Parse the message
Trigger the appropriate POD collection workflow
Send the document to the brokerage contact
Complete the Track & Trace workflow (because delivery has been confirmed)
All automatically, no human follow-up required.
What’s Next
We’ll continue rolling this out across relevant SOPs and explore expanding support for other workflows where document collection via text makes sense. The goal: fewer calls, less friction, more automation.
