Augie Now Instantly Verifies Carriers the Moment the Phone Rings

Share update

Carrier verification has long involved repetitive steps that slow teams down. Augie now streamlines the process by automatically verifying carriers through their phone number, enabling faster conversations, stronger fraud protection, and smoother operations for every team.

Why it matters

Carrier verification is a critical step in protecting brokerage operations, but it often adds unnecessary friction. Asking carriers for their MC number, confirming details, and performing manual lookups slows down conversations and increases the risk of errors.

By validating carriers through their incoming phone number, teams can immediately confirm who is calling and whether they are approved to work with the organization. This enables faster, more confident interactions and strengthens fraud prevention, since phone numbers are significantly harder to spoof than MC information.

Early analysis shows that the majority of carrier calls can be identified automatically using phone number matching, meaning most interactions start with instant clarity rather than manual validation.

How it works

When a carrier calls in, the system automatically checks their phone number against Highway in real time:

  • If the carrier meets your organization’s approval criteria, the system moves directly into the conversation—no validation questions required.

  • If the carrier does not meet your criteria, the call is automatically ended to protect your operation.

  • If the carrier cannot be identified, the system falls back to requesting their MC number.

Operation teams can also tailor their validation logic based on the information Highway provides, allowing them to define their own criteria for which carriers should be cleared or blocked. This flexibility ensures each team can configure guardrails that align with its risk tolerance, operational workflows, and compliance requirements.
